Jaypore, one of India’s leading destination brands for craft and artisanal products, has finally come to Hyderabad. Established in 2011, Jaypore was acquired by Aditya Birla Fashion & Retail Ltd, in 2019.
Jaypore has been a popular online brand that opened its first store in Delhi in 2017. Their retail journey has finally reached Jubilee Hills. Apart from being their first store in Hyderabad this is also their milestone 20th store pan-India.
As you step in, you are greeted by a spacious and meticulously designed area spanning an expansive area of 3300 sq.ft. The facade of the store immediately captures attention, adorned with a geometric design inspired by the aweinspiring Phulkari craft, a folk embroidery tradition from Punjab.
Jaypore is committed to reviving, reinventing and celebrating the rich heritage crafts of India by directly working with craft clusters at the grassroot level. Since the beginning, the brand has collaborated with over 30 craft clusters from various regions, including Gujarat, Rajasthan, West Bengal and more. The staff here is well-versed with every outfit and curio on display.
The store has a diverse range of offerings, including apparel for men and women, exquisite home décor, jewelry, and accessories. Crafts like leheriya, blockprints, ajrakh etc. can be seen in the apparel collections. Exquisite ceramics, brass prabhavalis, kansa serveware and block-printed soft linen among others grace the home décor section. Also on display are ranges of tribal silver, kundan and temple jewelry inspired by centuriesold traditions, exuding elegance and grace. A reflection of Deccan heritage can be witnessed in an ornate Kalamkari mural that graces the store’s wall.
